Firm Profile PALMER BROOK SCHOOLEY AIA Palmer Schooley created his firm in January 1990 in order to establish a design office that, while rooted in architecture and urban design, would expressly embrace many of the associated design disciplines such as interior design, furniture and product design, and planning of the larger scale environment. Architecture has traditionally encompassed a great deal more than the design of buildings and we strongly believe that a breadth of design skills enables us to respond to many and varied design challenges. Previous experience in housing and community facilities design, augmented by numerous commercial interior projects, has naturally led to many recent commissions involving spaces for people, whether in the form of retail environments, restaurants, clubs or houses. A heightened awareness of what makes places special, whether for buildings in their contexts or for interior environments, is what these on-going experiences bring to us and what we in turn give back to our clients. |
